The Early Years
Certain things had an unusually significant impact on Trent's life . . . . .
Her Name:    Trent has never met another female "Trent";  she has, however, met a number of male "Trents", including Senator Trent Lott, whom she blames for making their name a household word (and not always a nice word).  As you might expect, having such a name meant that our candidate is always presumed to be "Mr." . . . only until people meet her!  It's a great conversation-starter.
Her Dad:   Trent's dad, Harrison Martin Oliver, was born in 1895.  This fact, alone, made him unique among  "dads".  He was also "crippled" (the term he used, before it became politically incorrect).   He returned from World War I in a hospital bed, more severely stricken with septicemia than four others being treated there.  The other four died.  Trent's dad ended up with osteomylitis and walked with a crutch and cane for the rest of his life.  But he survived!  AND became a successful entrepreneur.  The "Oliver Press" that he and his brother owned and operated for 50 years is still on the corner of Frederick and Monroe Streets in Baltimore City.  His courage and perserverence made a great impression on Trent.

Trent's dad also loved golf and played his whole life.  The invention of the electric golf cart became his salvation, and when Rolling Road Golf Course wasn't ready to make the investment, Harrison Oliver bought his own.   He taught Trent to play when she was seven years old -- a skill she has developed and enjoys to this day!
Her Mom's Family -- the "Wysors"

During "the Early Years", the Wysor Family was not quite this big -- it consisted of Trent's moms 6 siblings and Trent's 21 first cousins.  See what happened!!  The family grew and multiplied until the 21 cousins produced 51 offspring and those offspring have (thus far) produced 25, er 26, make that 27. . . well, you get the idea.  The above gaggle of Wysors captures most of the over 100 attendees at the 2008 Wysor family reunion that Trent hosted at her home, otherwise known as "the Farm".
