Life as a Transportation Executive

Governor Ehrlich, Transportation Secretary, Bob Flanagan and I celebrate our partnership with the Civil Air Patrol to monitor weekend traffic on the Bay Bridge.

In 2005, the BAY BRIDGE WALK was scheduled for May 7th-- the date of my birthday. I welcomed the Governor and my Police Chief, Gary Mclhinney, as the "first guests to attend my 25,000-person party"!

U.S. District Attorney, Rod Rosenstein, and I welcome the newly graduated Officers into the Authority Police Force.

Sharon Leckowitcz, my Bay Bridge Administrator, and her team are invited to the Governor's Reception Room and awarded a Governor's Citation for our successful "TAKE THE HEAT OUT OF SUMMER TRAVEL" initiative.

Governor Ehrlich and I cut the ribbon to start the 2005 Bay Bridge Walk

After 50 years, Governor Ehrlich and I help plant trees at the site of the FIRST ribbon-cutting of the Inter-County Connector (ICC) project!

The Transportation Authority sponsored Habitat for Humanity in Baltimore City. I'm thanking all my employees who came out and helped.. . or, in my case, tried their best!

After speaking about my career as part of the Authority's "Womens History Month" celebration, I ask my employees "Did I do okay?"

My Public Relations staff always came up with great ways to get our message out -- even if it was having me wear a pink boa to highlight our new "Pace your Space" program!

The "political" part of my job required me to speak at many events, and I enjoyed the opportunity to meet people.  We are here, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the National Highway System."

My police officers were among my favorite people!  They taught me a great deal about all kinds of things.. .and even let me get under the big trucks to see how an inspection is done

.

This is the crew that keeps the I-95 Tunnels clean and beautiful, getting an award for their work.  Just LOOK how clean and sparkling those tunnel walls are the next time you drive through!
